hear me out....zombie apocaplyse...but werewolves. WAIT WAIT WAIT DONT LEAVE IM NOT DONE

I'm not talking about the fantasy kind of werewolves where its like a curse or something and like ohh my godd the full moon i'm gonna transform raahhh or whatever, I'm talking about the BODY HORROR kind of werewolves.

Instead of an instant transformation triggered by a full moon, its more like a disease. Slow & painful growths in your bones & muscles that last for days, even weeks. Teeth & nails fall out to make room for new ones, rapid hair growth, disorientation from heightened senses, you get the gist. Now, I don't want them to look like traditional werewolves either, the best example I can give is the Varcolac from resident evil village. I absolutely love that uncanny, vaguely human face with it's massive wolfish jaws.

Lmk if you think this is as cool as I do bc I would love to expand on this idea & maybe actually turn into a novel one day or even a comic. (omg that would be so awesome omg omg)
