I have actually been planning to take a scholarship in the United States for a year now, even though many of my family members have opposed that idea. However, I am still determined to get that scholarship and go study at university there. My mom and dad are okay with this idea; in fact, they encourage me as well. The real problem is my grandfather. I don't know what his issue is with the United States, but he completely rejects my going there and wants me to finish my university studies in Jordan. I do not want that; I don't mean to say that Jordan is bad, but I would prefer a degree that is internationally recognized. Also, I love the United States very, very much, and I have many friends there. I have relatives who have already received American citizenship. It's a wonderful country! With its military history, economy, and its dominance in various fields around the world! I am eagerly waiting to finish my last two years of studies here and complete my university education in the United States! .

wait for me , AMERICA!

the u.s. definitely has good opportunities, but it isn't anywhere near perfect. i wouldn't even describe it as wonderful with the current political climate. universities can be expensive, and scholarships don't usually cover everything. education funding is being cut, healthcare funding is being cut, funding for government assistance programs are being cut. they are planning to mobilize up to 1,700 national guard troops across 19 states to aid in "immigration and anti-crime" crackdowns. that's not normal. it's legally shady and dangerous. the national guard is for emergencies, not everyday policing. every time they've been used this way it's gone horribly wrong.
