Why did they do chairman Rose like that

Let's not beat around the bush; he could've been so much better. I still love him, but the canon Rose is so badly written, it makes me wonder if they hired a 12 year old wattpad writer. I hope that they do a second Galar game with his character completely reworked.

I have a few ideas on how to do that. Maybe, explain the impatience and forgetting Bede's name on being deluded/possessed by Eternatus. I know that Eternatus is dragon-poison type, but poison doesn't always have to be physical. Make chairman Rose research Eternatus for the power crisis, and then be so infected with Eternatus' neurotoxin that he basically becomes possessed. Visions of Galar starving and slowly dying because of the power crisis, an urge that Rose cannot explain logically. It would work so well with him hesitating a bit in the pre-battle animation, before looking completely deranged, too. It would explain his theme consisting of chanting. It would explain everything.

Also, I love his theme. I'm a sucker for any theme with chanting/opera singing in it. I actually have it on my mp3 player.
