Being misdiagnosed with schizophrenia

I have a schizophrenia misdiagnosis. It sucks because I will never get a gun and be on meds for at least a year until I can hopefkully convince the doctors I don't believe that stuff anymore and it was just a depressive episode. I don't know the possibility of getting a schizophrenia diagnosis removed. I also hate when people treat things people diagnosed with schizophrenia commonly go through as some fun game, "The voices are getting louder" from someone whos never heard voices, "the fbi are stalking me" from someone who doesn't even believe that, much less experiences it, "Taking my schizo meds" from someone whos never been on antipsychotics.
