picking a halloween costume is the BEST and WORST thing.

#PERSONALLY, HALLOWEEN IS SUCH A PERFECT HOLIDAY--

--and it is UNDOUTABLY my favourite holiday! It's the one night a year where u can dress as nerdy or sexy or stupid as possible and everybody is gonna eat it up no matter what you chose. you could wear a literal fursuit and ur bold, creative, a genius.....basically u get more praise than the furry community beg for annually. 

As perfect as halloween is with it's movies,parties,sweets,dress up and those DELICIOUS pumpkin spide candles! It's only one day. Even Notting Hill Carnival is a 2 day festivity! Christmas is a whole season which is soo fair but it hurtss that I can only dress up and go all out for a single Halloween day!

Sure, there are plans for multiple parties or events hosted by ur rich friends or just kids from school with huge houses but usually--(or from my experience)--there ends up being only 1 huge party that everyone goes to on the one single Halloween day. OR MAYBE THERE IS NO HUGE PARTY AT ALL and it's not like I can go out trick or treating at my big age! 

This is usually why you might spend all the months following the end of summer holiday planning or talking about ur perfect costume to wear. or maybe costumeS if ur in a group/pair.

#BUTTT, THE PROBLEM IS...ACTUALLY PICKING THE COSTUME.

This is most likely NOT a universal problem but I know for a fact that picking my costume for Halloween has been a nightmare mosquito bite on my brain. My tiktok, pinterest and instagram have recently been flooded with halloween costume ideas. Sometimes it's just a regular well done videogame character edit that is suddenly my perfect halloween costume idea.

Every idea is suddenly the perfect one to do and I begin to pray that the government extends halloween to a whole week or something just to give me the opportunity to do like 10 different costumes! Though even if my wish came true, I couldn't afford multiple costumes! I have no idea how cosplayers do it.

Ideally I need a costume that is a nerdy, niche reference I love but not too niche that only I would understand it, with a sprinkle of cute or sexy but not too the point that I'm just freezing on somebody's rooftop. Luckily there are so many costume ideas I have that fit this but UNLUCKILY I have so many costume ideas that fit this!

and I am NEVER EVER ON MY LIFE gonna settle for a last minute basic halloween costume that is just an everday outfit.

#HOW AM I GONNA SOLVE THIS?

OPTION 1: change my costume every hour at the party.

(cons: costs way too much, might be hard to pull off, and thats stupid)

OPTION 2: have someone organise a group/pair costume and make them chose

(cons: might pick a theme I don't like, don't get to be the costume I want)

OPTION 3: YOU CHOOSE.

(cons: nobody will comment on this)

If u are reading this however and would like to help a poor soul out, THEN DO PLEASE HELP. My most reccomended or favourite ideas so far have been juliet from lollipop chainsaw, starfire or cassandra/bela dimitrescu but there are so many more on that list and I'm open to new ideas!
