vines

vines wrap my feet.

they engulf my eyes,

now all i see is green.

tears fall to the soil,

sprouting more vines,

exacerbating my turmoil.

now my wrists are bound,

and then slowly my neck.

i scream but there is no sound.

they wrap around my waist,

sharp thorns cutting skin.

my raw fear i can taste.

the ground starts to give way,

as they start pulling down.

i collapse into dark space.

my soul lost, never to be found.
