the internet is dead. (a rant about how society is dying- especially with the rise of tech)

Okay, let's start here: I've almost given up on YouTube and Pinterest because of the stupid algorithm and just "cringe culture" and monetization efforts. because i dont think the world was meant to have corporations ruin it.

IMO: the internet peaked...10 years ago. as of writing this (the big 2025). i think we should bring back fun, creativity, and being cringe. I know, a scary thought. we should bully youtube/other social medias and where we get our media into CHANGING THIS. its actually a problem. for example: fun new internet series and other stuff are not being shown. its all about money, not being creative and fun and new and edgy. 

i feel as if nobody should feel pressured to conform. conformity was to be "ideal" and "perfect" but in my opinion most people of all decades have felt discomfort in having to conform, including me, thats why i dont. if you think about it, punk and alternative subcultures were made to trash the fascists and made to not conform in the slightest. and you know, i have hope for the internet right now, if we do the right thing maybe we can turn it around. especially with the alt-right ruling our goverment (at least in the USA, where i live). because im not going to let them take away our rights. IMO to conform is to suffer.

cringe culture may not be dead but we can kill it. the problem is that the internet (and as a whole, society) is dead. its always been bad, but its getting worse. the best we've gotten was 1990-2018. after that...it just went downhill. people who are "outcasts", "freaks", and "nerds" should just stand up for themselves. okay? STOP CARING, DO WHAT YOU WANT. They're more afraid of you than you are of them. The people we should hate are the people taking things away that we need. go and be yourself.  if you stop caring about what people think- they get intimidated.

anyway back to how the internet is dead. well, whatever i said it. be who you want. go outside, do stuff with your friends, make a collection, collect trinkets off the ground, go and do something. as someone who's not usually allowed to be online, its actually fun. i collect CDs, i go out with my friends, i play guitar, i draw, i read. it may seem like torture at first- but, trust me, it helps. focus on what you need to do.
