Solongo

Her forked tongue carries the venom of hate 

In her eyes all men are snakes in the grass

 Sidewinders lying in wait for the vulnerable

She smiles and dances their tune 

Teasing and tempting the reptiles with the wiles of a wanton woman

She dances under the disco ball 

A vibrant whirligig whirling, flaunting her wares

He’s here on vacation seeking the night life thrills

The vision gracing the floor  rattled his every fantasy

Her come hither moves enticed him, called him

And he was roadkill lured by her charms

Another Sneaky snake` added to  serial killer Solongos stiffs

She dons the mink he’d bought for his wife

Sssssss she sighs and slithers into the night

Captain Tango is stumped

Solongo has left another victim wrapped in a snakeskin 

‘Shiftless, shady Backstabber’ wrote on the corpse 

“ I hear a voice callin'”, his lieutenant mutters 

“We've got a very serious problem, oh yeah

This Solongo is killin` cheatin` husbands

 Chief! Our vipper, Solongo is a revengeful woman!”

She sees him as he enters the bar

A man she thought never to see again.

Dressed in civvies scanning the crowd

A man on the make it appears

But she knows better as he comes to attention on seeing her

Will she become the grieving widow of Solongos last victim

She smiles and waits for the snake Captain Tango 

God! But she still turns him inside out.

Of all his bigamist wives she was the best

. A one time toss in the hay. Who’s to know?

 She rattled his every fantasy, enticed him, called him

And he was roadkill lured by her charms

She writes his epitaph on his back and covers him with a new snakeskin. 

Sssssss she sighs, her revenge complete and slithers into the night.
