LISTEN TO THIS LIL BAND PLZZZZZZ I BEG OF U

Ive known this band for bout half a year or smthn (due to NateIsLame) and the name is Missile Kids. The genre seems to me to be punk and tbh I only know of hardcore punk, pop-punk, and maybe skate punk, and ska punk’s existence in punk sub-genres (which if those are all real it’d be most like skate and hardcore punk). Its sound (for me and/or to me) kinda feels like 2000s college too smtimes like in Away (my basis of what “2000s college” sounds like is Greener and Just Apathy by Tally Hall and maybe a little bit of what the background music in movies where the kid is walking into his new school and it shows a far away drone shot of him walking up the outdoors stairs).

His/(plural) their (idk if the band is multiple people im too lazya look it up) songs usually consist of  any 1 of these speeds: headbanger-fast, headbanger-slow (Away), and calm-slow (Katalina Hopes). And then any of these instrument sounds (usually 2 or 1 at a time): very electric guitar, ooga booga-y, a little play piano for kids sound, and whatever you call kazoo harmonica banjo and accordian. The vocals are again ooga booga-y (mostly just in OOO-WAAA pretty sure), ofc raspy yelling (all the songz), and just normal talking voice basically (calm-slow).

Spuds Mackenzie:

In the entire album it’s really hard to hear the lyrics because ofc he’s yelling very raspily but also I just have bad voice recognition (if thats the right term (I forgor)). This song for me has the most hearable lyrics so it’s my favorite song lyrically. But also if I am hearing the lyrics right they’re actually vry relatable with “I don’t wanna drink I just wanna party”. And on instrumantal: I’m glad it’s short, his songs are alot to handle sometimes. I don’t know how to describe drums yet, but I jst luv the drums in this one, probably mostly because it’s not weird to do all the headbangs you do hard… bangs (sus?). It took me way to long to realize that there were quiet high pitched screams in the background but now that I noticed it I luv it.

Tally:

This is my fav song from him. I do like the headbanger-slow wind ups to the headbanger-fast parts but I sometimes just want to get headbanger-fast immediately then get as much headbanger-slow as I do with fast. I for the most part don’t like calm-slow so I’m glad it doesn’t have any of those.

Midwesteren Massacre:

I like about 6 songs in the album more than this one, but I’ll review it since it’s the most popular. Midwesteren Massacre I’d say has the least amount of the “ooga booga-y, a little play piano for kids sound, and whatever you call kazoo harmonica banjo and accordian“ sounds. But it does probably have my favorite short pauses of instuments in the album (if that makes sense).
