DISCLAIMER: I completely understand that some people have something called entomophobia / insectophobia and I completely respect you as a fellow human being and I understand why you may find bugs horrifying (I myself am extremely terrified of dogs for no reason - basically cynophobia)
I also understand why you may exterminate or deep clean your house if the bugs have caused relatively bad damages to either your physical and/or mental health.
If you are suffering from any of the above, realise that whatever I say beyond this point does not apply to you, and I highly recommend you should seek help in reducing your entomophobia symptons for a better mental health - also realise that I am not a doctor nor an expert in psychology.
Like I KNOW this is my second blog post about insects in the span of 2 days but I just really can't comprehend how people GENUINELY ENJOY RUTHLESSLY KILLING BUGS AND INTENTIONALLY MAKING THEM SUFFER. Like the type of people who do this shit aren't like scared of bugs or anything they're either a farmer or just a very cruel person - being a farmer doesn't make it morally correct though - go protect your crops better so that bugs don't flock to it in the first place. I keep seeing these videos of people genociding hundreds of bugs because their pussy got wet over some leaves and they don't know how to do their job properly.
I honestly think just randomly intentionally killing bugs is just extremly immoral and cruel and shouldn't be a normal and accepted thing to do.
and before people start saying shit like "OooOOooH yoU Kill bUgS whEN yOu WALk on thE rOAd!!1!", I just want to let you know that this is a stupid argument - I'm not mad about shit like this, because we literally can't do anything about it - the thing I'm mad about is people seeing an innocent little bug and deciding to make it feel as much pain and misery as possible.
another fun point people make is "InSeCTs kiLL eaCh oTHeR!!!" - wanna know something? humans kill each other too, but if aliens suddenly arrived and started genociding us, would the aliens have the moral highground because "we kill each other anyway"? - of course not!
something that isn't known by many is that bugs feel genuine pain - both physically and emotionally. if you just put dozens of them in a small bucket (something that's really popular among farmers), they either suffocate to death or get crushed - those bugs would be in continuous distress and pain until they inevitably die in that blood-stained bucket.
anyways, enough ranting for the day, hope you learnt something, or not, who knows.

I've seen a good amount of people say "it's just a bug, you're just being a snowflake" 'n shit like that - I've made another blog post debunking and giving rebuttals to this and many other arguments people use to justify hurting animals.
I recommend you check it out if you're planning on leaving an argument in the comments:

If they're not like invading my space I won't care but if they're like on my stuff or close to me I'll try to whisk them away with an pbject my intention isn't to kill them I just really hate insects bc I can't control where they go they're so small and quick

You can do wtv you want to get them away unharmed and I respect you for not immediately resorting to killing and making them suffer.

Whether they suffer or not does not matter. I'm going to give an extreme example TW. If someone is in a coma, does it give you the right to r4pe them? I give this example so that it is very evident that this is wrong, even if the person is not aware at all of what is happening and then has no physical or psychological sequelae. Killing or torturing is wrong regardless of the living being. (If I feel like it I will do it anyway because I know that I am not a good person, but I know that it is wrong. In my philosophy, the only good action is suicide; the rest of the actions are more or less bad.) (I am not a nihilist; my philosophy is more similar to the philosophy of Philipp Mainländer, a radical pessimist)

If you enjoy seeing bugs suffer thats where the red line lies imo. Enjoying seeing something suffer is not normal.

If we all collectively stopped kilking bugs they would overrun us and crawl through our crevices. I don’t think I would like that reality very much…
literally not even true but keep living in your weird fantasy world i guess

this is taking this into a larger argument, but from a historian's perspective:
before agriculture, humans and animals and objects/entities in nature were on the same level.
as agriculture rose, so too did the mindset that humans are set apart from plants and animals.
as we domesticated creatures and conquered lands, and as we grew more and more capable of manipulating the natural world to design a 'better' life for ourselves, we have lost respect for other creatures. we no longer fathom that they experience sensations like pain or have needs like social interaction.
it's unfortunate... we are an incredibly destructive and unforgiving force of nature.
We remain at the same level; we are not the first to invent agriculture, nor livestock, nor to have language, nor to have tools, nor to drive species to extinction (it is something that almost all species have done at some point), nor to pollute our planet generating a mass extinction and creating new materials in the process (see the Great Oxidation), we do not act better or worse than any other animal. The only thing we achieved first is reaching space, and it's not that we are very good at that either. (There are already species adapted to space at the International Space Station). In the very nature of life lies destruction. Given that thermodynamics exists, the only way for life to exist is by destroying its environment. Ecosystems exist because each species destroys the ecosystem in different ways, and in the end, they cancel each other out (which is why they are so fragile; if one species falls, they no longer cancel each other, and the ecosystem collapses).

As a person who is DEATHLY afraid of bugs- i completly agree. We are acting like bugs don't mean anything and killing them on a daily basis and that disgusts me.
