I just opened Instagram and faced a video for a boy with down syndrome having suffocation due to injury from the occupation army, I feel very sad, why do they do this to the people of Gaza! Why the brutality towards innocent children, people with special needs and women! I hate this brutal world , I hate it more when I saw that poor boy with down syndrome suffering , because I have a brother with down syndrome, I can't imagine him going through this, also that boy , he don't deserve that , he's just an innocent boy , I just ......
I believe in humanity , but I can't see it ...
Editing: stop saying "but hamas " it's not a fu**ing excuse to do a genocide especially for innocent people and civilians , I feel so disgusted

There is a ton of propaganda that goes around on social media about "children in Gaza", especially those with disabilities. It's classic heartstring-tugging. Many of the photos and posts have been confirmed as misinformation, as the children pictured are actually alive or died from conditions they already had and not as a result of the conflict or starvation. There are also many pictures of children from Yemen being used, claiming they are Gazan children. Be wary of sensationalized posts or shock value photos.
The way you think is so brainwashed, it's crazy to deny a genocide that happened by the group of terrorist Isr*el to the civilians and innocent people of Gaza, remember standing with terrorist makes you one of them , shame in you, saying this comment to me is crazy cues I'm originally from Gaza and a lot of my relatives get their lives gone because of the terrorism, brutality and barbarism from Isr*el , maybe you watch the news of Isr*el so they don't show the brutality and barbarism they are directing at the people of Gaza , watch the right news and you'll see the world we are in , again shame on everyone denying the genocide and others people's suffer

The way I cope is keeping in mind that the world is a very Hobbesian place and that other parts of the world went through similar things back in the 1970s and 1980s. The silver lining is that Israel has finally reached a point of no return. The only thing keeping them afloat is the United States and this might actually be the thing that ends our superpower status.
It's also going to be tragic because the West at least was vouching for the Uyghurs in China and other persecuted minorities while being completely hypocritical vis-a-vis Israel, so we might completely lose any political or economic leverage to try and help them much like how we were unable to help the Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks over 100 years ago.
the influence of AIPAC should not be understated. it's funny how america cares more about israel than their own citizens

I'm actually convinced at this point that the US military establishment and GOP genuinely believe the IDF to be inherently superior than our own military and think it's more cost-effective to sink more investment and resources into theirs than ours since enlistment is at an all-time low, barracks are literally rotting and infested with mold and vermin, we have an ammo shortage, and most US citizens are physically unfit for service anyways.
It's the same mentality that led to outsourcing manufacturing to China because we didn't want to invest in our own people.

israel never directly funded hamas iirc they did fund the islamist groups in gaza during the 70s and 80s though. hamas became openly hostile to them when they formed, israel never created nor fund them lmao.
also you can criticize hamas while not being pro-imperial/genocide. i dislike the nug in myanmar but that doesnt make me pro-dictatorship.

I agree with your first point, truly agree, but focusing on my mind peace while these people getting hurt and killed and suffering , it's really hard, I know who are the ones we should blame, but they have no humanity . prying for people of Gaza, Ukraine, Congo , Sudan, and who don't deserve to live in genocide and fear
