i rlly wanna get into a new instrument and originally i rlly wanted to play bass, but i talked to my dad abt it and he said abt how bass is more of a background instrument meant for bands and less of smth u can play by yourself
and so i looked into it a little more and i honestly rlly like both bass and electric and although i was originally thinking of bass, im wondering if electric would be the better choice bc i prob wont be joining a band

me personally, i would go for an electric guitar. i own one and i still consider myself to be a beginner though, but heres my input anyway!
1. i think that its easier to learn how to play, since there are a variety of tutorials online as compared to bass… the easiest way is to learn how to read guitar tabs!!
2. i think u get to experiment more with electric guitars, you can play with different guitar effects, tunes and tones etc.
3. me personally, guitars look cooler than bass. i’d recommend getting a strat if your a beginner.. like me! its like… the default of guitars. can never go wrong with it.
