Is this friend a lil corny?

Well, I have a friend in school called max, bus he's kinda a lil corny. 

In first place, his friends always chant him when he talk to my they're like

"YOURE LUCKY" "GOOO" . 

Or one time I was cold on the break and he RAN to his class to gave me his gloves. 

Also he always compliment me like "I like ur style" "your hair is pretty" and the most strange "I like ur smell" I had a strawberry chocolate perfume on that was why. But the way he said that to me was too silly, he just appeard an told me that. 

And men I come his friends says shi like "ooh ur friend came" and when I walk past. Him his friends also look at him in a way (IYKYK) . But I don't like him in that way :(
