Theater Club (or whatever i'll call it if it amounts to anything)

So a couple weeks back, I was thinking about when I was in eighth grade and we wrote a Christmas play and performed it in front of the school. That made me nostalgic for the other times I've written things, and the other times I've performed short plays in recent years. My old school was kind of small, but it was leagues above my current school in terms of resources. Stuff like school bands and drama performances in a school theatre are impossible, but I still got to thinking: just because there isn't a small-scale theater club doesn't mean there can't be one.

I, inspired by a mix of nostalgia and the New Kids On The Rock videos i watched recently, wrote a script for a youtube video I'll never make (though will prolly post the script of to here after this). I had a great time writing it, and wanted to show it to people at my school. That got me thinking, maybe it would be fun if I started a club at my school next year where we write plays and perform them during assembly blocks. We would have to get our own costumes and props and stuff and we would have to use the limited space that is the probably 20 sq feet of the classroom we would be able to perform in for the assembly, but we could make it work!

To be honest, I don't know much about theatre, or managing a club, or promoting a club, but the nice thing about being alive is that you can do things for the sake of doing them, regardless of how good it is. And something that eases my doubts a bit is the fact that every club is sponsored by a teacher, who will likely be our school's drama teacher (though she's kind of a part-time teacher so IDEK if she's at our school during lunch blocks) + in terms of creating a club, i can turn to my friend for advice since she started a fairly popular club at our school (second in membership to student gov. but there's only like 3 clubs so that doesnt say much, her club's pretty big at our school tho).

Anyways, we have a new head of school so i might wait 2-3 weeks to get a feel of the new school year, that's it for now!
