So, rant time. Love doing those.
All year long, we've been promised new dorms in the vicinity of the university. And we've been anticipating this to be true. The managers even confirmed it with us once again last night, and so we all registered for our dorms. But then, I get an email earlier this evening, saying that I was instead arranged a dorm in a place that was near the motorway, instead, with its only saving grace being the subway close to it. The dorm itself? About 10 km away. 

Rightfully so, we went "what the f**k? why? what's with this arrangement?" to which we got the response, "Sorry, the renovations at the new dormitory aren't finished yet, and the students are all bunched up as is! We're gonna move you there so you can be comfortable."

You have got to be f**king with me. Are you for real? Like, the arrangement we're getting is several times worse than the one we were promised, and comfort there? Questionable at best. 

So, yes. Safe to say, I feel very much f**ked over, because this arrangement completely screws everything from a logistical standpoint. I have been making arrangements to get several parcels delivered to me at that new location, only for me to start scrambling because either my stuff is already on its way (and I cannot change the pickup point), or it's about to be sent, and having to carry heavy things to and fro is at the very least, slightly suboptimal.

Even if we do get eventually our original dorm arrangements, that still means we have to pack everything up again and carry it over to the new location.

All I can do now is hope that this is just a temporary setback, and things will get worked over in the next few days, because I'd be f**ked if I had to start over my logistics planning, maybe even TWICE, if it gets to such a point. 


I am quite miffed about this whole ordeal.
