Yeah, I'm from Brazil (watta suprise huh?) And we aren't allowed to use phone in class. But this su*** a lot of times. And this can get even more frustrating when my old school didn't allow using phones in the entire school even before the law prohibiting phones in schools.
For example, was a class of math the teacher forgot the example for the content (we dont have books) and when I asked: "Professora, porque a senhora não pesquisa um exemplo no google? Ou pede pra gente pesquisar um?" [EN: "Teacher, why you don't search for an example in google? Also, we can search an example for you."] She said: "I can't use my phone here, everyone here either. Or someone here wants to pay a fine?". One simple situation with a extremely easy solution banned by the government.

one of my other friends on here was talking about a phone ban too, i think its kinda dumb. the situation u described would've been solved pretty easily if u could have a phone. a fine is way too dramatic i think. seriously? a fine? its stupid
