Computers are holy. Theres something about computers that draw me in, in a way that our phones do not. Humans have made code, made the machines that run the code, in our own image. Servers are connected by wires that resemble our own veins. They connect us together in ways that wouldve never been possible without the internet. They feel special to me. Like not just an object to be used on the daily but something of greater power. I use my laptop on a daily basis for things and it feels like a dream to be able to hold something of power in my hands. Phones are powerful yes, but feel more like objects to be used, something to connect like computers yes, but no where near on the same level. And before the internet, before computers, was mycelium. Mycelium that connects trees and plants and wildlife together in a network of underground wiring. Also resembling ourselves. I guess what i'm trying to say is that humans, much like computers and mycelium, are all interconnected beings and that is holy. The pleasure of having connections with others is above anything else. Computers are hard and sharp, but i feel love for them in ways i dont feel love for other objects. Comparing it to beauty, finding something beautiful is the act of seeing something as itself...its hard to describe in my own words but the act of finding something beautiful is divine and that in its own way can make my connection to computers holy.
