Industry or academia...

the future is inevitable so I've been thinking about what career path I want to take. I have 2 ideas I'm kind of stuck between.

Path 1: I major in chemical engineering and minor in philosophy. Once I get my bachelor's, maybe pursue a master's otherwise work in a lab where I make cool stuff that ends up on the shelves of a CVS.

Path 2: I major in chemical engineering and double minor in philosophy and mathematics, then once I get my bachelor's I get a master's in chemistry. Then once I get my master's degree I start a PhD program studying chemistry because I love it so much. Then I go on to become a chemistry professor. fun and very ambitious.

I still have some time to decide which path I want to take, but regardless I think both paths I'm pursuing my interests, one just follows a career path that requires a longer education.
