If you all don't know, i have a Windows Vista PC from Circa: 2008 - 2009 that is custom built that i made and i freaking LOVED It!! and been using it since last year back in june (the sku is Ultimate and is Fully updated to EOL 2017 + SP2) well uh, it's sorta unusable at the moment (and no, it's not because of Vista it's self- Vista it's self is fine, i never had issues with it) Yesterday, i finally decided to take a look at the machine after using it for a while to see why it was showing signs of Abnormal voltage on the 3.3V line as it's been an issue i've been having for a while, i opened the machine and Unplugged the PSU only to realize.. that there was melted Plastic in a few of the sockets!! Yay- (it melted the Plastic around the port where the PSU Plugs into the motherboard) so it seems that the PSU (Power Supply) Just failed. and Now, i'm currently looking at a new PSU for a replacement and Potentially a new motherboard (if i can't repair my current motherboard-) and mind you, the PSU was only a YEAR OLD- it was practically BRAND SPANKING NEW with the date it was made on. Ultimate Shame, as i have 20 year old Machines that lived longer than that- (I hope this Nostalgic Dream PC i really wanted isn't getting ripped away from me..)
Very ANNOYED-
0 Kudos
