why YOU should listen to the academy is...

yes YOU person reading this (if u dont listen to them already ofc)

so u might be wondering "who tf are these guys",welllll, the academy is... is an american band from chicago formed in 2003 and that is still active today !!!!! yes u heard that right !!!! in fact theyre going on tour very soon !!!! isnt that so cool

ANYWAYS ur prob like "uh ok but how do they sound like" GOOOOOD QUESTION !!!! they could be classified as emo pop or mall emo or whatever its called,or just plain pop punk if u dont wanna get too technical idk.all their three albums have different sounds but theyre all could be put under those labels in one way or another

ok so ur now asking yourself "wow they sound so cool !!! how can i get into them !!??!?!" GLAD U ASKED :DDD in my opinion a good introduction to their music would be their 20007 album santi, its more darker in general vibes than the other albums BUT still i think it sums up their sound pretty well.then i recommend their first album almost here,is the most "emo" out of them all, and finally their third album fast times at barrington high,the most pop-ish in sound definitely but still pretty good !!

have i convinced u ??? no ???? well idc heres other unrelated reasons why u should listen to them:

-the members: if u ask me, theyre all pretty handsome, especially the singer william beckett hehe :3

-the fandom: (almost) everyone ive meet in the tai fandom has been a very cool person !!!! and best of all u can find fans of all ages !!!!
