Yes, I am quite addicted to nostalgia; there's like a pining sadness for the loss of what once was... grief, or a sort of bereavement if that makes any sense Lol As you say, those early days were more carefree, less worries and ignorance can be bliss at times... I'm nostalgic for all sorts of things; even watching old movies and a certain innocence in those early years. In a nutshell, nostalgia and the past holds its own magic :) <3
I don't think so. I tend to evade my past even though I'm the result of it. Well, maybe not evade, but ignore. What are some specific things you're nostalgic about, and what about 'em keeps pulling you back?
i don't know exactly what it is tbh. i think a lot of people say that they feel nostalgic for the simpler times and i guess that's true for me as well, but also it's a bit more than just that. it's kinda inexplicable. i miss old technology, old movies, the way everything used to be- but i think at the core of it all i just miss feeling genuinely excited and carefree. i miss not being aware of all the things that i'm aware of now.
They do say ignorance is bliss. All that ignorance gets overtaken by knowledge, bliss with expectations & the fear of 'em. Then we start to operate from there. It's a form of protection, but works through taking things away and reducing 'em. I think, I just woke up so I may have fried what I'm trying to say
