To me, you are like an granny smith apple to my succulent, juicy orange. You might be green with envy, and leave a bitter taste in people's mouth, but I honestly still preferred you to me. I never cared for someone who is overwhelmingly sweet, riding on a false veneer of hardness, completely soft on the inside.

Do oranges have regrets and woes? Drink the blood straight from my chest, I'll let you know... Do apples have regrets and woes? She told me no, but in her heart she felt something more.

To me, you are the neverending lakefront, a warm autumn sun rising over the surface, bringing you to life. None of the little noises startle me, I'm accustomed to you watching as the butterscotch sky fades again into a velvet blue, backdrop for the majority of people's lives.

Do you wish the whole world was orange, the way I wish it was blue? I would take all the colour from the world to have you again.
