my FAV 2000s Jpop bands

I'm obsessed with 2000 Jpop bands.... I'm gonna list my favorites!!!! That's it lol. Just know SOMEEE of these bands might be in the late 90s or early 2010s but still!!! 

1: HALCALI (by the way, these arent in any order.) 

I got introduced to them by Otsukare Summer. I love them so much, they're just like Puffy AmiYumi! No big things because they're pretty new to me, but I love their songs! 

2: Puffy AmiYumi/PUFFY

I've been listening to them since I was little... And I just got my favorite album of them as a CD! I lov it so much! Im pretty sure I got introduced to them from their Cartoon Network show, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. They played their songs in the show, and they were so good! I listen to their albums, and I know a lot of fun facts! Here's one: PUFFY had to change their name due to the American PUFFY and almost got sued by him. So, they changed their name to Puffy AmiYumi. Ami and Yumi like to make a lot of jokes about him, I'm so glad they avoided him because you know what's happening now... Anyways LOVE THEMMMM!!!!! they're like 50 now but I wanna go see them live so much!!! 

3: Perfume 

Their music style is just so unique, and fits into every playlist I have! No words, just check them out. 

4: Seranji Poji

I don't know much about them, if they're a band or just one person. But I listen to them too much. I'm pretty sure they made music for a video game, got super famous and started their career. You've probably heard their songs like pipo pipo and GoGo Shoopergirl (which I'm listening to right now) all over TikTok. Cool, check em out! 

5: AKB48

EVERYONE knows them. If you don't, they're basically the NCT of Jpop and have a really smart marketing strategy. I may only listen for Sakura Miyawaki, but they're good and you should check out their sister groups! 

6: SakuraGakuin

Their concept is really cool! It's basically like a school, and the group is separated into clubs and every club has a class president. My favorite club has to be the metal club, which you may know as... BABY METAL! I love baby metal so much, make sure to stream their new album! SakuraGakuin is discontinued, but Baby metal is still putting out new tracks! Check both of them out! 

7: Momoiro Clover Z

Probably the 2nd Jpop I knew after PUFFY, they make a mix of pop, rock and electronic music. You have probably heard their song Ikuze! Kaito Shoujo or that song that goes like "Jugemu Jugemu Kokono Surekei..." with those 5 girls that dance. They make a lot of anime intros such as Sailor Moon Crystal and Pokemon. I know the lyrics to 3 of their songs, lol! 

Honorable mention soloists: Tommy heavenly6, Tommy february6, Kyary Pamyupamyu and Jun Togawa. Have a good day and make sure to go to bed early.. I know you stay up until midnight doing idol dances and singing songs! Just me? Ok... :P
