Biking in the US is scary

For reference, I live around NorthWest in the US (ooo no doxxing today teehee!) and, today, I biked to my husbands work because the employees got MOCHI FRICKING DONUTS!! And he got one for me! ((ugh, I'm so lucky)). 

It was about a 30 minute bike from our place to his work, which is located in an industrial area of town. To my surprise, biking would actually be double as fast as taking public transportation! Which is another problem in itself lol. But I enjoyed myself! Great donuts, he brought me some ice cold water, we chilled in the shade and chatted during his lunch; it was sick.

- But to actually get to his work, I also had to drive next to ✨fast cars and big ass fucking trucks✨

Can we just talk about trucks for a sec?? Why the hell are they so fucking big. Like, I don't really got a lot of space to work with in my little bike lane and truck drivers ESPECIALLY almost feels like they purposefully stick to the right side of their lane, JUST TO TERRIFY ME!! I know it might not be the case and obviously I'm fighting for my life with my anxiety out there, but truck drivers are freaking scary dude.

A majority of the ride, which I hate to admit, I drove on the sidewalk. You're not allowed to, but I have no life insurance and I'm also not trying to die out there in my 20s ehhhh not yet lol!

While I was also biking home, a truck driver pulled up onto the side of the road, fully covering the bike lane + the entire sidewalk to go out and piss in a bush. Like, come on, man.. 
The sides of the road was slanted, so I had to try and walk this slanted ass side, trying my ABSOLUTE BEST not to slip and potentially hit his oh so precious death machine <3 ((which is probably only used to get him to and from office + grocery haul))

I don't know if I'm just too European for this, but it drives me insane.

Can we, like, not try to kill each other out there, please? <3

Oh and PLEASE put your phone down!! Someone almost swerved into me and I saw the light for a second.
