mp3 !!!!

so this is the beginning of a chronicle of me trying to untangle myself from meta, google, apple, etc. i recently learned that spotify is soon going to require users to upload their ID's in order to use their service; even PREMIUM users have to do this. they say it's for user safety, but i doubt it. youtube is soon going to require the same thing! bullshit. so, i bought an mp3 player. and i just ordered an external disc reader with some blank dvds! i can't wait to sail the seven seas and see what i find. i just finished downloading 20 albums to my mp3 player, and i'm figuring out what other music i want to put on there. i've been using soulseek to download the music, but if there's a better service out there i would love to hear about it! i am currently looking into ways to download movies and shows, so if there's a service you like to use i would also like to know. i;ve really enjoyed this process so far, even if it is time consuming and i'm giving up a little bit of convenience to do it. the mp3 player i bought also has bluetooth, so i can play my songs in my car on the way to campus, and i can use my bluetooth headphones for better sound quality! i'm so excited. the first day of classes is tomorrow so i get to test it out. that's all i really wanted to talk about, i'm sure there will be more for me to say once my external disc reader comes in. bye!
