It's hard to decide a backstory/upbringing for a character you've had for years without fleshing out the character's concept through creative output. I've had Adam (character pictured below) in my head nearly every day for probably over four years (and my other para for over five!) and never felt comfortable with sharing them to the world, even my own family. It doesn't help that I technically have numerous different paracosms, one for each story I come across through media and further adapt to include my paras.
About Adam...
- He's always been a little eccentric in personality. He acts heavily in the moment, and is upset with himself for driving people away with his mood swings, something he's never learn to deal with throughout childhood.
- Because he grew up in a predominately female side of his family, he's come to love girlhood and the female experience but kept that side bottled up to appear "man" enough.
- I typically see him as gay (or bisexual with a heavy preference for men), but he most definitely tries to keep that side hidden from the public, even though he's been dating a man for years now.
- He works as a book translator, and is fluent in English (native language), Russian, and Bosnian. He dabbled into many other Slavic languages as well but stuck with Russian because it was so widely used and learned Bosnian because his bf speaks it.
