About a week ago I learned about that new Homestuck animated pilot that's supposed to be releasing soon. So being a fan of Toby Fox who is one of my favorite indie devs of all time, when I saw that he was voicing the MAIN PROTAGONIST I was immediately invested.
I've heard that the fandom surrounding the webcomic(?) is not held in very high regard, so I am entering the fanbase with much caution, but so far I'm loving the story. I'm only on page 520 of about 8.000 so I definitely have my work cut out for me. I've watched a couple of analysis videos surrounding the property, and I must say this work of fiction is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's an incredibly interesting thing to view as an outsider!
At first the "mechanics" of the story were incredibly confusing to me, but after a while you get used to it, plus I hear they stop using them as much once you get into the meat of the story (not like that seems much more comprehensible). I do like how the world works but there are definitely gripes that me and other members of the fanbase dislike about the story, including how strange the comic can be to get into and how elements are introduced.
Regardless, I am excited to read further and get to the main plot points instead of a bunch of children trying to pick up items around their room. As always, stay Jovial!
