I just wanna enjoy characters man

I swear I cannot enjoy some characters without seeing some people making them out to be the most evil person ever </3

For context, most of the characters that are my favorites are ones I relate to due to seeing my personality disorders in said characters. But then I see people taking those characters, saying they deserve to die, that the fans of the character MUST be horrible people, etc.

Mind you, half the time it's a character that people originally woobified, fetishized, etc. But the moment they can't do it or someone says "erm, actually they're bad!" they all just act like the character is the worst person ever???? 

They'll even say stupid shit like "Oh, so we can't hate/dislike [insert character] then?" like stfu you know damn well that's not what's happening. Stop being dense. When you ask them why they hate the character instead of listing valid or normal shit, they will list off things that are the same reasons why people see that character as having a personality disorder #noticing

That or they'll be like "They're an asshole tho!" Yeah, those disorders tend to do that. "Well, that doesn't excuse their actions-" No one was doing that. And no empathizing or sympathizing with these characters doesn't equal excusing them. No, people correcting you on what you got wrong about that character due to your blinding hatred of them is not people claiming the character is innocent.

Don't get me started when people take what the character has done wrong and make it out to be so much worse than it actually was, or act like they don't deserve a chance to get help. It's like they think the character getting help only benefits the character and not, idk, the people around them too??? When it makes them more stable???

I JUST REMEMBERED. They'll even blame fans of those characters for everything wrong in the fandom too. It's crazy LMAO
