This is not supposed to serve a purpose. Only my own opinions!
My family believes in god. They believe in afterlife and that we will be judged by our actions to be sent to heaven or hell. They have a purpose: To be a good person (by their standarts) and to go the heaven with the ones they love. I used to believe in everything they believe, too. It was only a few months ago when a question popped up in my head. If god is so powerful that he is capable of anything and everything, why would god need angels to obey and worship him? It was a simple question that, and maybe it has a simple answer according to my parents. But that simple question kead to more questions. Each one being more complicated than the other. It came to the point where I just do not believe in a god. My last few days weren’t the best. I was feeling depressed for some unknown reason. Then I started to think, again. What’s the meaning of life? Or, no. Let me rephrase that. Does life have a meaning to start with?
There used to be one. To go to heaven. But not anymore, because simply things changed. Now that I believe there is nothing after death, life seems meaningless. If we just die and go into the state when we weren’t born, when we didnt exist then why would our actions matter? We all die one day and that’s it. So why would we force ourselves to do things we don’t want to do, things that makes uncomfortable? These sentences make sense in my head until a different problem rises. Should we be able to do whatever we wish to do? And that breaks every thought I built. Then in this case killers, pedophiles, or anyone that we despise have every right to do whatever it is that they’re doing. That obviously doesn’t satisfy me.
Even though it seems like life has no meaning if we die just to die, I wouldn’t want an after life. The concept of afterlife feels like a fairytale to me. Any kind of afterlife. It feels wrong to think we will come to life, again. After all that we went through, there is still another stage? In my opinion, it is just unrealistic.
Free will is another topic that confuses me. Having free will seems like the ‘right’ option, but I hard it find to believe in it. I feel like we are all shaped by the things that happen around us. The term ‘fate’ always pissed me off. If you did something bad, you should take responsibility. It was your choice to do so. But was it really? Thinking that we have no control over our actions, that just doesn’t sit right with me. It should be that way, we must be responsible for the things we did, but despite these I believe we’re designed by how the universe works. If I do something, then it is because of the way I was raised, the thing I went through. Of course I take responsibilities for my actions but the whole thing is so confusing to me.
I hope I was clear with everything I wrote, I am only killing time.

Make your own reason you do not have to believe in a higher being just use your own morals design your life not everything has to have some big meaning. Stop worrying about what happens after death cherish this life instead. Our actions matter because they make or break this life we are alive in right now. We cherish these lives because they are our only ones especially with what comes after death being unknown its better to live, have fun, and be happy in this one because you might not get another chance.

Im muslim so this is the way i see it
god created everything to worship him. Since hes the creator of everything he created worshipers. “ I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me” 51:56
So he made angels (beings that do no mistake no matter what and obey fully) and before he made us humans there was jin ( beings made of fire that caused bloodshed between themselves and just problems in general)
Then god made us humans
Point is we humans are being tested on earth, as god said
“ Know that this worldly life is no more than play, amusement, luxury, mutual boasting, and competition in wealth and children. This is like rain that causes plants to grow, to the delight of the planters. But later the plants dry up and you see them wither, then they are reduced to chaff. And in the Hereafter there will be either severe punishment or forgiveness and pleasure of Allah, whereas the life of this world is no more than the delusion of enjoyment.” - 57:20
every person is responsible for their own actions, beliefs, and doings. God is not forcing us to be perfect like angels but he did give us messages and hints. You do good, you go to heaven. You do bad, you go to hell. Its as simple as that. And since god made us imperfect he says that he forgives all sins if you as human asked for forgiveness.
For sure some things we as humans will never find the answer to, and thats because god has limited our knowledge. He only lets us know what he wants us to know. And somethings our brain will never comprehend no matter what because its not on our level.
Theres a lot more to it so if you have any questions id be happy to answer :)
Thanks for explaining the way you view the things that I wrote about. I appreciate the effort.
