oki i feel like this is one of the best places to ask abt it, bc i’ve seen so many people on here with awesome hair. I have this kinda layered shag cut with side bangs. I wouldn’t say it’s completely emo - but it’s like def inspired. One problem tho guys… how tf do i get volume in it?? i tried hairspray, it like wont holdddd (maybe the type of hair spray i used was the problem? i used glossy hairspray cuz thats the one my mom had lol) i need tips plsssss my hair is so flat and i want it to be cool LIKE YOURSSS :((((((((

The key is to use dry shampoo, then tease it with a special teasing brush and set it with a maximum hold hair spray.
Of course, brushing your hair out before you go to bed may be a pain after you've worn it teased up all day, but honestly, I think it's so worth it.

yep dry shampoo or other hair suitable powder will do it. will, obviously, make your hair look dry, but i don't really know any volumizing techniques that wouldn't. you could also tease your hair (look up like goth teasing tutorial or something) but that might be a totally different look to what youre after

Ok it's crazy but I've seen some people use dry shampoo or powder to get volume! And to hold it in place maybe some g2bglue
