why I dislike 4chan🍀---- an essay 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯

before I begin, I would like to inform the reader that before you write your opposing opinion in the comment section, I would like you to read the entire text. I will also debate back to dig further through both of our points. anyways, enjoy! :)

statement one: there is p0rnography content outside the NSFW (18+) section.

while this might sound bold of me to state,as the site rules say that the site is 18+,  there should be no nsfw or 18+ content outside of the designated section created by 4chan, yes this even includes comments on posts.

as stated by google:

"The site rules state that 4chan is only for 18+, but the use of 'mature' could mislead some users. For example, a teen landing on the site may consider themselves mature enough to view the content regardless of whether they are a minor"

before you bash me in the comments telling me its the minors fault for entering an 18+ site, this is still not okay. there are still people that are 18 and above that are triggered by nsfw or are virgins, so the fact that users are posting p0rn or 18+ content outside of the NSFW section is unacseptable. im not saying all sections have 18+ content in them, only some. I'm going to state a few examples here and now;

★ Cosplay & EGL

I'm a huge fan of cosplay myself. I dont have much talent, nor many cosplays, (im more of a jfashion person if you ask me, especially jirai kei, jojifuku, (my styles) and ones that admire: gyaru and lolita.) so naturally, the first thing I did when I entered 4chan for the first time is go into the 'Cosplay & EGL category of 4chan. it was really cool! there was lots of talk about comicons, cosplays, ext ext, just a slice of cosplay community on the slice of the web. that feeling stayed with me, until I saw this. no this is not an image of a girl in a bikini, bikini cosplays are not s#xual unless the girl wearing it intends so or does something/ wears something weird, I didn't see any s#xual bikini outfits, which is not shocking, just a post saying "am I the only one who sees bikini cosplays at water park cons?" you know, just shits and giggles. here's the post I found:

im not sure personally if this was the creators intentions, and you cannot see the fiull picture as I have clearly censored it, but the girl in th image is pressing her bre4sts together, which is usually done on purpose as an act of s#xulization. as a woman myself, breasts dont rest like that naturally.

and the comments? even worse. I dont even have the gut to re write them, please do just look at the picture and read the comments yourself.

there was even a post with someone in the comment section putting up a picture of sesbain lex in a different thread. even though the girls were slightly clothed, im not putting it up.

★ Otaku Culture

                                                      am I surprised? no.

before you remind me that I have a link to a "what type of otaku are you?" quiz in my profile, I did that for fun. I do not label myself as an otaku. otakus are either cute anime obsessed girls (1%) or sweaty middle aged men who jork off to anime girls that look five, but are apparently 5000yr old goddesses (99%).

I came I here expecting typical otaku culture, and 4chan did not disapoint, everything was exactly in tune to the title... except for this one post...

im sorry... you volunteer to what with her?

and not only that, but the girl in this fanart has an unnaturally big chest.

I don't really understand the comment underneath the first two, so please do correct me if im wrong, but why is there a picture of a young girl that seems no older than ten or nine with the context: "Stop it guys she is not stinky in any way."

is that the characters canon self?

why is she aged up in this fanart? is this L0licon/Phed0phelia disguised as adult NSFW? 

I think this post is just solid proof that the moderators of 4chan are either child predators themselves or do not moderate the posts on their platform.

this is sick. not to mention its against the rules of 4chan to post any Loli/shorta p0rnography.

statement two: the website uses AI art.

AI art is visible from the second you enter the website. this is going to be a very short statement because there isn't much AI art, but im sure in this day and age, some people have posted it. but im too lazy to go digging.

recently, 4chan has been giving its users free online dating, exclusive for this platform. knowing how much nsfw there is on 4chan, none of the couples that meet here are going to end well.

if you look closely on the banner, you will notice an AI generated girl. the concerning thing is that 4chan doesn't even try to hide this, and I am sure they will proceed to use more AI generated content on there site in the upcoming future

statement three:most of the users there are dry and unfriendly.

this isn't as good as a statement as the last two I fear, and its going to come of as harsh, but most of the people on 4chans platform are quite rude. take this gyaru related post I found:

the caption reads: "any gals here?" but instead of other gals commenting and discussing the gyaru subculture, the people in the comments are shaming the girls in the image.

- "yikes!"

-"you'll be wearing a burka within 10 years."

- "men pick real gyaru with their d####"

and the people who are standing up for the girls or chatting like normal people are being ignored.

"I want to be gyaru but I dont like tan."

if I had a 4chan account, I would reply with: " there's lots of gyaru styles that embrace natural skin tone! for example: Hime, Rokku, Shiro, ext ext..."

but instead all this person got as a reply was two question marks :(

also, if you are wondering what a burka is, it is an islamic veil. as a muslim myself, I feel slightly violated that one of my religions veils are being used as an insult. plus, you do not get to choose someone else's religious belief.
