Hello, World!

Howdy!

I'm Sarah, and I'm new here! If you want to know more about me, here you go - 

Who I am: I'm a 26-year-old graduate student in psychology. Don't tell my colleagues I'm citing Myers-Briggs (my subfield doesn't believe in it, for good reason), but I'm best described as a full-blown INFP, heart and soul. I'd describe myself as open minded, curious, incredibly sensitive and empathetic, and someone who enjoys seeing the beauty in everything. I tend to be an optimist, romantic, and overthinker. I mostly just want to love and be loved, and to put as much good into the world each day that I can and appreciate and fully experience all the small glimmers that everyday life has to offer.

Why I'm here: The current performative, algorithmic and hyperconsumptive state of social media is depressing and incredibly exhausting for me. It hasn't served me for years, and I've been off social media for some time now. At the same time, I've really missed having a little cozy corner of the internet to shout into the void, share things I care about with the world, and generally be my most authentic self (rip Vent). My hope is that Spacehey can become that place for me :) 

I'm mostly here to meet new people and post candidly about my thoughts and life. If you add me, be prepared for photo dumps, infodumps, rants (mostly about music), raves, questions of the day, shitty poetry, etc. - basically anything goes here.

Of note, I won't accept friend requests or messages from anyone who is a minor or does not have their age somewhere on their homepage. I'm also not here to flirt, date, s*xt, etc. - if you're going to be weird or disrespectful of my boundaries, you can kindly fuck off.

Outside of that, however, I love meeting people from all walks of life, and I am quite non-judgmental and curious. You're welcome to add me! I love talking with new people and learning about their lives, what they do and what they care about, so don't be afraid to shoot me a message and say hi!
