The no phone policy is ridiculous

I know everyone's talking about how stupid the new phone policy is. and like a sane person I agree all the way. Schools act like a phone is the only distraction. So might as well just ban drawing, papers, any kind of writing utensil, sleeping, zoning out, ect. because those are just a handful of distractions OTHER than a phone. I think it's INSANE that schools are so worried about you having a phone, but aren't worried about you when you're being bullied or about kids bringing weapons into school. so damn worried about non issues but can witness someone being harassed non stop and won't say or do anything till its too late, or if that someone fights back. What even is school at this point?. Teachers being mad because you asked them to explain a question better or telling them you don't understand something WHICH IS THEIR JOB BY THE WAY, teachers who want their class to participate and be active but shove a computer or work sheet in their students faces never putting any effort into making them want to do their work. Again it's crazy that they are so worried about a phone but shove a computer at us and expect us to not find ways to do other stuff on it but work. I also want to add that I've seen a school on the news that want their students to put their phones in a locker outside, But that's not the only thing they want. THEY ALSO WANT THEM TO PAY TO USE THE LOCKERS, at first it will be just $1 BUT THEN THEY HAVE TO PAY FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS. WHY are you making your students PAY to use a locker YOU want them to use???, THEN not only that, the school said themselves that even though they'll have someone watching over them they aren't responsible for what could happen to it. Which means that if someone's phone was to get stolen the school basically won't take accountability or replace it.
