i donβt have many friends on this site but like when i accept a request like they never talk to me, i message and then they donβt respond. only a few of my friends iβve actually talked to on here and they usually ghost me after a day or two which makes me kinda sad. i swear im a fun girl

I think its because spacehey is slower paced. You usually interact more through bulletins and slowly become friends. Friend requests are more like an invitation to be friends and then you just slowly interact more and more through bulletins, and blogs.
Idk, I enjoy how laid back it is here :)

I believe it may be due to the fact it's a site, and you don't get notified unless you actively open the app. I personally find it pretty difficult to stay active on here due to that, since I have to make a conscious effort to log on. And by the time I think about getting back on, I just feel so guilty about 'ghosting' people that it creates an extra mental block T^T I totally understand how annoying it is, and I agree! I just thought I'd share my experience and possible causes for why it may be :3

Some people tend to wait for messages rather then send them. That might be the issue since that's the majority of people here lmao. Plus there are friend collectors which usually have 1000+ people added which should be avoided if you want conversation

some people are "friend collector" y'know sending requests to everyone and befriending them without actually interacting with their "friends", but if u want to actually have friends to talk to, I suggest u to read people's blog to find people with the same as interests as u and befriend them. that way, u can talk to them on IM or interacting with them via their blog or bulletins. much better if u guys share a mutual interests, so u guys don't run out of things to talk about. I've done the same thing and yeah I have few friends here I talk to :)) u don't have to necessarily sending IM to them, but commenting on ur friends blog and bulletins is also consider as interacting, but not as deep as a conversation ofc..
