Story about a dream my dad had

i've only ever told this story once before but i wanna tell it again so here we go.

So this was sometime last year, one night my dad randomly brings up a dream he had the night before and it goes like this; he was in a large, seemingly endless field with this one brick wall that wasn't really wide but rather extremely tall, going all the way up into the sky, attached to the wall was this garden hose, my dad was standing next the wall holding the hose, i was also there, standing not too far from him, he tries asking me where he is and what's going on but i, for whatever reason just keep saying "don't you understand?" and "you're so old". now, something you should know about me is that my perception of other people's age based off their physical appearance is always wildly inaccurate and despite my dad being in his 50s (at the time of this story, he was either 54 or 55) i've always held the opinion that he looks to be in his mid-40s, probably subjective but still my genuine opinion and i haven't nor would ever say something like that to him, anyway- this continues as he gets increasingly frustrated with how im not explaining anything to him until he decides to drink from the hose, which if i recall, he didn't explicitly state if it had been running this whole time or not, but the hose (somehow) tells him to wake up after he starts drinking from it and no, the hose did not spell it out with the water or verbally speak to him, it just "told him to wake up" according to my dad, and when he woke up, it was 5:25 am, the exact time he leaves to go to work. fast forward to a few months later during a blackout, i bring it up and neither him nor my mum (who was in the room at the time) have any recollection of it. i don't even remember my own dreams half the time! and yet this i can still remember.. and speaking of remembering things, i remember we both like regular show (it used to air before adventure time on a channel called 9Go around the time he'd come home from work on weekdays) and whenever i think of this story i always immediately think that one episode with the hose and.. like, honest to god, what is a hose? like realistically speaking, what is it??? since then, i've brought it up a third time while we were running our usual sunday errand and a forth time when i first told his story online and on both occasions, he had no recollection of it and just took my word on legitimacy of it all.
