how did i get here??

just logged back into spacehey for the first time in a year and a half. i already privated my old blog posts because i dont like the way i used to write. i really thought i was being witty lmao. while i'm here i might as well talk because i kinda miss making long public blog posts for myself that appeal to nobody.

i honestly got bored of spacehey because it was so... concerning? idk if anyone else noticed this, but 2023-2024 i saw some devious shit on this site. the only blogs that would actually get popular were the ones that were warning about pedos and racists and shit. it was actually so tiring opening up the blog tab just to see titles like "BLOCK THIS USER IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!" clogging up the entire first page. NOT SAYING MAKING POSTS ABT IT IS WRONG BTW, it just got overwhelming how insane the cleaning up was for something that was (to my knowledge) being dealt with properly? it felt like everybody on the site was problematic in some way.

OH AND THE GORE. one night i was checking the new accounts and twice in a row i saw photos of fresh self harm scars. like the accounts had layouts that were otherwise normal BESIDES THE MULTIPLE PHOTOS OF SCARS PLASTERED ALL OVER MY SCREEN. it was actually so bad omfg. i mean im pretty tolerant to blood and stuff so it didnt affect me too much, but imagine somebody who actually went thru self harm saw that???? ik that sounds very "heh, i watch gore for fun... 😈" of me but i promise im not like that im just not shocked by horror easily. but it was definitely disturbing for a lot of people and it sucks that somebody would do that for fun. then i checked another acc and in the comments someone mentioned seeing the gore, so i know im not the only one. after that i never logged back on so i dont even know if it became a bigger issue. i would hope not??

so yeah thats why i got tired of spacehey. but my friend was talking about their blog on here the other day so i decided to log back on and check up on the site. tbh i missed it a little. i used to think i was so relevant when i wrote blogs for no one LOL. i guess writing this now is still irrelevant, but at least im aware of it. who knows, i might come back for more.
