Exactly. You'd think that if low rise is supposed to be making a comeback, then they'd actually be making low rise pants and skirts again and not this stupid mid rise bullshit.

At least I've been lucky enough to find some low rise jeans from eBay in my size and recently, I've even found a pair of black low rise denim shorts in my size (a women's 0/24) from 2008.

When I say low rise, I don't mean this mid rise shit falsely labelled as "low rise", I mean actual low rise, as in a rise of 7.5 inches or under and shows off my hip bones and all.

I've done some custom tailoring before of leggings and pajama pants and shit to make them all low/ultra low rise, though the process is much harder to do with jeans and denim shorts, especially so if you're doing it by hand.

Funny you make this post because I’m actually in the process of planning out my future low-rise custom jean project… As a short fat gay man who wants low rise, I just have to suck it up and make this shit for myself… If anyone seeing this wants to turn some of their pairs into low rise, it’s actually super easy (just make sure you stitch them well, or your fucking bits are gonna be falling out, mega embarassing)
Anyway, there are definitely tutorials online, I’d recommend using a sewing machine just for the extra security of a zigzag stitch, and make sure the gauge of your thread is nice and secure for denim since the crotch has a lot of tension. I’d practice on a pair you don’t care about first if you’re unsure.
