Story Beginnings - Behind The Synth

Wow, it's uh...

it's been a while! Sorry I started this blog then immediately abandoned it (*cough* like BunnySynth *cough cough*), a LOT of things have happened for me personally, but now I've returned to talk about this story!

So let's talk about how this whole thing started! (SPOILER WARNING)

It technically started when I finished watching a yt series my little brother recommended to me, developing a hyperfixation over it as a result. During that period, I discovered an AU called Y2KVR on Tumblr and binge-read it in one sitting! Afterwards, I couldn't stop thinking about the story and the way it was told. 

I very quickly thought up a basic plot, incorporating ideas I'd seen about cannibalism in writing on Pinterest along with elements from Y2KVR:

As you can see, I vocalized this idea on my (at the time) recently created Characterhub account! Some aspects are definitely still there today, like the vocaloids and general inclusion of monstrous characters. I continued developing this idea more and even posted about it again:

After this, I chose to drop the biting/eating ppl thing and the plague doctor/rat character all together. Bits of both of these things are still there today in Claude and Claudia along with Melek. (the siblings being vampires and Melek being just released) I eventually expanded on the queerness, outright making Melek and Adelaide lesbians.

I've ofc been developing this story more after these posts, but everything has been expanding as I've created characters and thought about it on my own so I'll leave that info for future posts! All I'll say is, I'm very proud of what I've come up with and I adore every last piece of it to death!
