i tried to play minecraft these days but the newer versions dont hit as much as 1.16 or older
only game i can play without judging it is postal 2 but i still hate it how dumb normal has become easy to me, i have put like 300+ hours in it on 2 steam accounts (not even counting pirated versions jeez)
gmod i have like 200+ hours but havent played it since may of this year

I find modding minecraft to be really fun if you just want other things and stuff to do in there. Plus it's real easy if you use CursedForge. I don't really know what games or like other things to recommend that's like modern and fun ( cus I live under a rock ), but if you like old flash games and stuff, there's always Flashpoint ( it's a flash game archive thingy )
uuuuuuu i forgot my save file in papas donutoria + about minecraft, i use sklauncher with a offline account because im dont feel like buying it :p
i find joy in rip offs of games, used to play alot of a game called mastercraft 2021, basically minecraft 0.15 with a plastic like texture pack, nowadays its just modern minecraft
