I'm not sure if it's as cut and dry as "this is a sin, this isn't" for most things, including language. For me personally, I do try not to swear, because I want my language to be as inoffensive as possible in order to make sure people feel comfortable around me. In certain occasions, I'll let something slip (like if someone's about to be hit by a car, I'm not going to hit em with the "gosh diddly darn!"--I'm going to say something a lot stronger). I think it's all up to personal conviction and using discernment about the time and place.

Not necessarily, depends on how you use it. If you use it in a bad way, than it is a sin.
Ephesians 4:29 says, "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."
James 3 also discusses the power of tongue, and importance of only using it for good.

I think we are meant to be in control of our own tongue, so swearing in response to anger may be a sin. We also want to represent Christ as best we can, so we should avoid using words around people who find them offensive or gross. That being said, what people find offensive is entirely up to their surroundings, I know when I was in school hearing a "curse word" was nothing out of the ordinary, but since I've graduated I've definitely felt more surprised when hearing people "cursing" in public.

not a christain but I think swearing is fine as long as it isn’t used in a hateful or sinful context. liek telling sum1 to eff themselves is wrong but saying something is fucking amazing isn’t, but could be considered very crass and even disrespectful to others. try doing some research or asking your religious leaders if ur still confused!!
