In a world controlled by streaming services, oh so full of clauses and limitations, one can find refuge in the "old" optical discs.
Bluray's, DVD's & even CD's, not long ago coveted products capable of playing music, videos, & data of many sorts; can in our times be found for bargain prices in the most trashful of flea markets, second hand stores & websites, with often times, amongst a sea of mediocre movies and artists not one can remember, there being true classics, fallen from disgrace due to their material condition, left forgotten in a pile of plastic boxes on top a rug in a busy Sunday's day market.
This is exactly how I found movies such as Brokeback Mountain, Cabaret, Modern Times & The End of Evangelion, free from their streamed prison for just 6€ in total.
These movies, which I loved watching & now form part of my indentity, belong to I, & no greedy corporation will be able to take them away from me or my bedroom shelves, where they shall stand proud for what they are, works of art, & not just cheap thrills to be enjoyed for boredom's sake.
I invite to all of those not bothered by the incapability of watching movies on the go, to do search and scavange at their opportunity. Who knows, thou mayst just find a diamond in the rough.
(Ik it's a cd, but the image is cool af anyhow)

You are so right. I've gotten more into physical media lately and not only is it more reliable than streaming services but also THE SPECIAL FEATURES!!! I yearn for special features and behind the scenes content but streaming doesn't ever have it. (other than maybe HBO MAX sometimes)
