Steel Lancer Arena International (S.L.A.I)

I've recently been digging into S.L.A.I for the PS2 (and its ancestor Phantom Crash) for a while now, and it's a fun thing to explore. The game takes place in a future where "Rumbling" is all the rage in a virtual network made as an answer to the absolute messes recent wars caused. You fight in an SV, a customizable mecha platform (a la Armored Core) and compete in arena battles and duels. You also fight your way up the ranks, looking to crush the top gun and reign supreme.

Originally this game had online capabilities, but since it was shut down, fans of the series used Parsec for dueling. However it can be a little weird, because Parsec needs the host to have a connection that packs one heck of a punch. Why? They're streaming their screen to the guest at very low latency. All the guest has to do is throw in their input and boom, you're basically at a couch.
