I saw a shooting star! :DD

My mom was telling me this past week that there was going to be a meteor shower later in the week, well, that was today! (technically yesterday but whatever) My mom, my brother, and I all went out of town to get away from the light pollution and we looked for shooting stars. My mom and I only saw 2 (1 the same one and the other one were different ones) but my brother saw a lot more than us, so many to the point where I think some of the ones he saw weren't actually meteors lol. At first, I wasn't having a whole lot of luck looking for them and my mom and brother had already seen multiple with I hadn't seen any, but then, I saw a big one really far up, almost directly above us, and it had a super long tail, and then later I saw another, smaller one closer to the horizon and just going straight down. It was my first time ever seeing a shooting star, and I just found out that it happens every year so I hope I can go see it next year too :>>>
