My little sister is 12.
She’s working on her very first crime novel and has been writing it for days now.
As her older brother, I support her in everything she does — though it’s not always easy, since she’s at that age where siblings tend to argue more often.
She’s been writing away with so much dedication, but she barely shows anyone her work. She thinks it’s not good enough.
And I’m like, come on, — you’re only 12. Nobody expects you to write a bestselling crime novel.
Who made you so unsure of yourself that you don’t dare to share the things you love?
It’s the same with her drawing. She loves it, spends hours on it — but only shows most of her art to our mom.
