 Neco wakes up in a sterile white room. Blinded and dizzy she attempts to get up but quickly slumps back down. She remembers very few things before the trick. All she remembers traces yelling, sirens, and alarms. Her breath feels heavy, she looks around the room she’s in only seeing bits with her blurred vision noticing one of her eyes are covered. Why was that?

“Oh you're awake?” a man in blue scrubs says, semi-surprised. “We didn’t expect you to come back for a while”.

“Where am I? I can’t see.” Neco whispers softly. “How did I get here?”

“Your friends told us that while trying to do a trick you fell and tried to grab onto the railing you were grinding on. You’re currently in recovery…” The doctor audibly takes a deep breath.

“W-what, what happened?” Neco confusingly remarks “Why can't I see!?”

“You went too fast, while grabbing onto the railing there was too much pressure on your right arm”

Neco leans to her right arm as the doctor explains, she keeps grasping onto where her arm should be. But Isn’t. Her eye start to adjust and focus on her side, it’s gone, it's all gone.

“Your arm was… separated during the fall, I’m very sorry” The doctor says, trying to comfort her, but she’s still focused on her arm, she can’t look away. Her breath quickens and becomes shallow, her eyes haze over and blurs, beginning to lose consciousness.

It took a while for Neco to finally come to terms that her arm was missing. But after what felt like a long day in a hospital bed she could finally stand up well, which she used to look at herself in the mirror. Discovering what happened to her in the accident.

Her right half looked like a mess. Her ear was torn in half, her eye still needed a patch before any swelling could go down. There was a massive bruise on her right side that had a deep purple and hurt to touch. Finally and most noticeable, her arm was missing, only leaving a small nub down to her chest. Every flaw under the sink’s white fluorescent lights seems heightened. She is tired, she hasn't slept in a while and only now she’s feeling that weight. Neco slumps into her hospital bed and closes her eyes.
