I'm very particular about my hair. I'm a girl with about a 3b curl type and it's always been really long. Like ALWAYS! I've only started having short shoulder length hair a few years back. It crosses my mind occasionally to do a supper different cut, something HELLA SHORT! But it still scares me.
My hair is such an important part of my identity and it makes me nervous to even THINK about changing it.
I've dyed my hair before no problem so I'm sure if I cut it short I'd also do some dye work to it.. But I just CAN'T go any shorter or anymore different.
I've thought of just buzzing it ALL for shits n giggles and see how I'd feel, but I think I'd cry about it like CRAZY! ;n;

I've been there!! But I've also never been fully satisfied with my haircut when I got it done.
Last year, I took it into my own hands to cut my hair ((mostly cause I was super strained financially and it was getting too long)). I looked up some styles on pinterest, looking up some Youtube tutorials and, every 2 months or so, I trim it up and it looks really neat again!
I'm like a 1C, so I'm not entirely sure what it's like to work with curly hair, but like the other comment mentions: go for it! It'll grow back and, honestly, it's made me feel really confident in my identity. No one has cut it the way I do, and that's a good thing!
I also earned a tiny bit of money for cutting other peoples' hair now, so that's a mini bonus lol
Omgg I'm terrified of even THINKING about trying to cut my own hair! ;0; Even with cutting split ends haahh
But its cool that you branched out and did it yourself. Maybe one day I'll try. I trust buzzing my own hair over actually clipping lmao

Yeah, you might cut it a little crooked in the beginning, but after touching that up and the next couple times, it'll look baller.
I genuinely get compliments on my haircut now and that it looks really nice! SELF CUT BABYYY!!!

i had very long platinum blonde hair (natural) and i decided one day to dye it box dye block and cut it shoulder length and put random layers in it and get an emo haircut. it was the best decision ever, dont get scared and just do it. hair grows back, trust
