Cousins' Week Out: Part 2

My family and I collectively agreed to take a break day today from any activities to regain our stamina (and recover from sunburns lol), so I'm going to take the time to sum up what happened Monday night.

Lunch at Kyuramen

The original plan today was to go play mini-golf and a game of bowling, and my cousins were gonna pick me and my sister up from our home at around noon. However, my sister and I didn't eat yet, so I asked the rest of them if they would be willing to have lunch before we set off on our adventures. I brung up some options near the mini-golf place, and we ultimately settled on one of those authentic ramen shops with the private booths.

Since it was a random Monday noon, we got immediately seated, and we kind of ordered a little bit of everything. For appetizers, I tried takoyaki, which are essentially fried octopus balls served with a really tasty sauce, some "Japanese french fries" with some katsuobushi flakes on top, spring rolls, and fried tofu in this slightly spicy sauce.

For my entree, I ordered myself a vegetable miso ramen bowl, which I didn't eat much of, since we already ate so much from the appetizers alone! The ramen came with really delicious vegetable dumplings, and I love dumplings. I wasn't a fan of the bamboo shoots that came with it though, so I left it aside.

For dessert, I got a matcha tiramisu, and I'm not a big fan of matcha flavored things because, well, it tastes like grass, but the tiramisu was only dusted with matcha powder on top, and the rest was this sweet spongy cake. My sister ordered a brown sugar bubble milk tea, and I went to go try some, since the first time I had bubble tea, the tea and bubbles were not good at all. This time though, it tasted almost like chocolate milk, and the bubbles added a nice texture! The bubbles take a long time to chew thoroughly though.

Mini-golf and arcade games

After our lavish feast, we headed on over to the mini-golf place. It was super fun, but we lost track of time really quick, since there were no windows and the whole place was blacklight glow-in-the-dark. I ended up winning the game, following up with both my cousins.

The place also had some arcade games, so we each got a card to play a few. I usually try to spend majority of my points on games that can earn you tickets, so I spent most of my time playing skeeball, that one Big Bass Wheel game, and a basketball game.

There was this one LED floor game that we've never seen before, but the gist of it was that you could choose different game modes to play. We played this one mode where you had to tap all the blue tiles without touching the moving red tiles, like an obstacle course. I found a YouTube video of a couple people playing it, and I wish more arcades had this game!!!

Rides, bowling, and more games

Finally, to end our day, we went over to a mini amusement park near the house to play some bowling. We only chose that spot because we wanted to get dinner there, too. My cousin's fiance ended up winning, followed by my aunt and my cousin. After bowling we had some pizza and wings, and then we rode some of the outdoor rides.

With the package we got, we also each had 10 credits to use on THEIR arcade, so I decided to try my luck at one of those claw machines. Who would've thought that today was my lucky day; I got a little alien plushie the first try! The machine went out of order right after (fishy fishy fishy, I do not like that), so thank goodness I got a shot while I still could. Here's a picture of today with the alien and my cat together!

That about wraps up yesterday! Other than my mom spoiling the mood when my sister and I got back home, the day was really fun. :-)
