I'm literally switching my smart phone to a flip phone and I just know it's going to be the most fire experience ever just going around with my flip phone and slamming it once I'm done with a call is just the vibe.
Idk what fo yall think is it going to work or I'll go back to my smart phone (mind you that it has android so I think I can have the same apps I have now and I'll even use them less )

Because it's an android flipphone. Heavy OS with google bloatware that drains the battery on underpowered hardware.

You can enable developer mode on android and install apps with adb if you connect your computer to your phone.

I guess you could go to a friends house or a library and try to install apps with adb there and use xmpp with otr or omemo or use signal so your parents can't read your messages

Yeah (in 5th grade i literally used a made up language we made so that it was untrackable, then my mom found the notebook and welppp) also, my mom doesnt allow me to have contact with friends over the summer because she got upset that I had friends with similar interests (ofc forced me 2 unfriend them!!) <3 cant wait for school :]

Well then I'd advise you to save up some money and buy your own phone. Your parents won't be able to make you unfriend your friends because if they take away your phone then you can report them to police for theft because you bought the phone yourself and not your parents.

Parents can pay the bills but the phone is yours so they can't take it away. Even if they stop paying you can always use wifi. They can't make you stop talking to your friends.
