Drowning

A while ago, like several years back, I was talking to a friend about how I heard that drowning is apparently painless. She disagreed, saying that one time she nearly drowned and it definitely did hurt. We don't talk anymore, so I can't correct myself, but I can at least write it down here.

Basically, drowning is painful, hurts like your head's gonna explode. But the second your body can't hold your breath in anymore and you gasp for air, water flooding your lungs, everything stops hurting.

So, that's what I meant.
