hellou spacehey users... long time no sea...

doubt anyone will see this but... oh well :p preciate it if u leave a comment or kudos.

im trying to make the switch from windows os to linux... i hate how ive become the product and i want to take control of my shit! but making the switch is difficult lol. mostly just worried i will lose any of my data when switching over... i think id like to try using a virtual machine first to try linux... that would be cool...

Also i downloaded firefox as a way to start... changing things..! it feels very nostalgic to use lol... havent used firefox regularly since i played flash games with my brother on my moms laptop in 2010s...

i dont know how to back up my data or nothing idk how to dual boot ... idk if i even can!? i wanted to try dual booting windows and linux bcuz.. i have 2 drives... im not even sure how it would work lol i have to look it up! this is prolly painful for someone who is tech savvy to read!!!! i am so sorry!!!! this is all very new to me.. like just learned what linux actually was 2 hours ago new... i have sooo much to learn >____> and hopefully i dont do something horrifically wrong...

if u made it this far thankz for reading... hope ure havin a nice daynite ......

I would probably pick a more simple linux distro like Ubuntu or Mint! I use Ubuntu and it's really chill.
You will need a USB when changing your OS, but I'm sure you have one laying around! It doesn't have to be that big.
I would definitely do a lot of research and research how to still use some of your software, like, if you like playing Genshin Impact or Roblox for example, you need to do tinkering to get it to work.
Linux is hard to set up, but a dream once it's running. Don't get discouraged! One step at a time and take a deep breath ((with youtube on speed dial))

Yeah of course! I'm no pro at all, but I def recommend looking into joining some discord servers, some linux forums and youtube tutorials! You got this!!!

check out ventoy, you can download that onto a usb and it'll let you boot multiple iso files. I used it for Arch, Windows, and Garuda.
